WONDROUS STRANGE
In Wondrous Strange, when the invisible membrane dividing our world from an unknown, other dimension is punctured, a young woman named Kelly Winslow joins a small Guard determined to stop the tide of evil but soon discovers she is born of the very thing she has sworn to destroy.
17 year old KELLEY WINSLOW doesn't believe in Faeries. Not unless they're the kind that you find in a theatre, spouting Shakespeare. The kind that Kelley so desperately wishes she could be - onstage, under lights, with a pair of sparkly wings strapped to her shoulders. But as the understudy in a twobit, hopelessly offoffBroadway production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, wishing is probably the closest she's going to get to becoming a Faerie Queen. At least, that's what she thinks... After one particularly brutal rehearsal sends Kelley reeling from the theatre to wander Central Park , her offstage life suddenly becomes as complicated as one of Shakespeare's plot twists. Because, just like one of the Bard's magical forests, this park holds far more that meets the mortal eyeSonny Flannery and the Samhain Gate. Sonny is a Janus - one of the feared Guardians of the Samhain Gate, appointed by Auberon, the High King of the Faerie, over a century ago to keep his subjects from straying from their world to ours. Once a year, from dusk 'til dawn, the Janus watch through the night, using the power granted them by Auberon to keep Faeriekind from crossing the threshold. And once every nine years, the Samhain Gate stands open for nine nights in a row. This is that year. Sonny is about to make a shocking discoverythe Faerie child stolen from Auberon's Court over a hundred years ago is not only alive and well, she's pretty darn gorgeous, spectacularly clumsy, has no idea she's the heir to the Fairy throne. and is about to make a real mess of things - both onstage and off!
