WHERE YOU’LL FIND ME

JJ Strong

When a massive earthquake hits modern day Los Angeles, all but destroying the city, it upends seventeen-year-old Olivia Grandimore’s car and knocks her unconscious. When she comes to, she finds herself in a world deceptively similar to her own, but with a few jarring differences. For starters, there’s no sign of any earthquake. And her family is missing. And it’s five days earlier. And her swim team coach—a man she’s long hated with good reason—has been murdered. And to top it all off, she’s the primary suspect. Olivia’s only ally in this nightmarish alternate universe is her friend Dylan who, in the old world, was paralyzed in a football accident but in this world finds himself miraculously healed.

As Olivia and Dylan desperately search for answers and a way back home, they must also strive to solve a murder she’s only pretty sure she didn’t commit. The two teens dash across Los Angeles, dodging cops and taking refuge in forgotten corners of the city, all while Olivia is forced to investigate herself, confront the brutal truth of what her coach did to her and the horrifying possibility that she’s landed in a branch of reality where she is, in fact, guilty of killing him.  Before the earthquake strikes again they must find a way home – because there’s no place like it.
