WAYFARERS

Brittany Cavallaro Jeff Zentner

In this romantic contemporary novel in verse, a girl trying to outrun her problems and a boy discovering the outside world for the first time let down their walls as they travel across the country on a life-changing road trip that channels Kasie West and Morgan Matson.
BREAKOUT SUMMER ROMANCE: This is the summer romance of any teen's dreams. Sylvie and Knox get to know each other while traveling around the middle of the country by playing a truth-telling game. That way, the secrets that they're keeping from each other don't feel as weighty. This is a heartfelt romance that, like Sunrise Nights, is told in both verse and conversations.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT: Sylvie and Knox come from very different backgroundsSylvie is from a life of uncaring privilege and Knox is from a nomadic group that never spends more than one season in a location. However, both of them feel the weight of the world acutely. Teens will certainly be able to relate to feeling off-track thanks to intense pressures, and will enjoy watching Sylvie and Knox find their direction again.
