WAPKE

Wapke, which means “tomorrow” in the Atikamekw language, is a collection of 14 dystopian stories that explores contemporary sociopolitical issues from Indigenous perspectives. Written by authors from different First Nations with different outlooks, and curated by author and former news anchor Michel Jean, these stories offer a glimpse of the future, delivered with a social commentary imbued with a desire for change.
