Joseph Hickman

This book is retired Army Staff Sergeant Joseph Hickman's full, eyewitness account of the night of June 9, 2006, and his four-year investigation into the facts behind an event that occurred at the United States' detainment and interrogation facility at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.
Joseph Hickman spent eighteen years in the military, first in the Marine Corps, then the Army, then the National Guard. He has deployed on intelligence and reconnaissance missions throughout the world, sometimes attached to foreign militaries. The recipient of more than twenty medals and badges, Hickman was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for his work in Guantanamo. In civilian life, he has worked as a corrections officer, a private investigator, and a bodyguard. He is currently serving with the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
