TWO GIRLS WANT A PUPPY

Maple Lam Evie Cordell Ryan Cordell

Based on a true story about two sisters and their creative plan to adopt a puppy.
Cadence and Emi desperately want a puppy. But their dad isn't quite sure they're ready for all that responsibility. With a little determination and a brilliant plan, the girls show their dad that they are ready to adopt one. After all, they are super persistent, responsible, smart, and creative!

Brought to life by Maple Lam's charming illustrations, this adorable picture book about two girls who want to adopt a puppy will delight young readers.

Ryan and Evie Cordell live near Boston, Massachusetts, with their five children. Their two daughters, Cadence and Emerson, inspired this story when they posted a picture online about wanting a puppy and got nearly four million "likes" on Facebook. When they're not writing picture books, Ryan teaches American literature at Northeastern University and Evie is a photographer.

Maple Lam wants a puppy, too. She wanted one while growing up in Hong Kong. She wanted one when she moved to Los Angeles at eleven years old. She wanted one even more when she studied studio art at the University of California, Irvine. Today she works daily in her art studio in Los Angeles, illustrating and writing children's books. And she still wants a puppy. Any day now. . .
