TRUTH OR DARE
TRUTH OR DARE is set in Echo Bay, a picturesque coastal town marred by the tragedy of the Lost Girls: three beautiful teens, who each drowned during the town’s annual Fall Festival, one year after the next. The book opens five years after the last death as the town is preparing to reinstate the festival, and the question on everyone’s lips is…will the ocean take another Lost Girl this year?
The connection between four girls takes center stage as speculation about the Lost Girls curse races through town. Tenley, former queen bee, has just moved back to Echo Bay - to reclaim her place at the top of the social heap she and her childhood best friend, Caitlin, kick off a wild round of Truth or Dare. But after the party is over…the game doesn’t end. Both Tenley and Caitlin find notes threatening to bring their respective darkest secrets to light – and they’re not the only ones. Someone is playing this group of friends against each other; nothing is off-limits and as the game spirals out of control, the girls are about to find out how far they’d go to keep their secrets a secret, and that the smallest of choices can have the greatest consequences.
Jacqueline Green grew up in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, where she devoured books the way other kids did candy. She never stopped loving those books she read as a kid, so after receiving her BA from Cornell University, she went on to get her MFA in Writing for Children from The New School. She’s since worked in many parts of the children’s publishing field, from marketing to editorial to writing. She now lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and their very small dog, who moonlights as her writing companion. Truth or Dare is her first novel.
