TROIS MOIS TOUT AU PLUS: Three Months, Max
A NOVEL OF INNUMERABLE SECRETS.
DESCRIPTION
Olivier Dubreuil, the child hero of the author's previous novel Through My Little Eyes, adapted for television in 2017, is now 50 years old and a popular television presenter. As fame begins to lose its shine and he grows tired of being in the media spotlight, he is racked by strange pains that seem to come from out of nowhere. Olivier is soon told he has just three months to live. Devastated by the news, he decides not to tell anyone, embarking instead on an odyssey that will take him from Montreal to New York, from the bedside of his dying biological mother to the grave of his unknown father, unearthing one secret at a time until he reaches the end of the road at last in the ultimate celebration of life.
EXCERPT
As it dawned on me that life was slipping through my fingers by the second, I was surprised to find myself whispering the words by the grace of God' to myself, over and over again. Later, I would resort to someone else. I stomped on the brakes and managed to bring the car to a stop, and only just avoided crashing into the wall.
It was nothing short of a miracle. My faith in life flashed back to me just as quickly as it had vanished 20 years earlier.
The last thing I wanted was to die before I was dead.
AUTHOR
Josélito Michaud is an author, an impresario and a radio and TV presenter and interviewer. His first book, Passages obligés (Rites of Passage) spent nearly a year on the bestseller list in Quebec.
