TRANSIENCE

Stevan Mena

TRANSIENCE, by screenwriter Stevan Mena, is a fast-paced, American thriller which reads as if Stephen King wrote a Jack Reacher novel. It combines pulse-pounding action with a clever supernatural twist, as the reader is drawn into an unsolvable case, which hinges on an implausible witness.
Detective Jack Ridge is dying. But that isn’t stopping him from trying to find a missing girl, the latest victim in a string of disappearances that always end the same way: with a dead body. Concealing his illness, he is desperate to find the latest victim before it's too late.

Rebecca is a gifted 9 year old, tormented by nightmares and visions that she cannot hope to understand. While undergoing therapy, her doctor uncovers the root of her fear, the memory of a horrific murder. But how can she remember something she could never have witnessed?

When Jack meets Rebecca it challenges everything he thought he knew about death: but can he use her unusual gifts to find the killer, and to save the latest victim's life?

Stevan Mena is a writer, producer and director from New York. He has also worked in television, writing and directing several episodes of the School Spirit’s series for NBC.
