THE TRACER
Cameron King was an MMA champion, but when her brother Nate crashed their car with her in it before vanishing without a trace, she ended up with an arm full of metal pins and one burning question: why?
Working as a bounty hunter, a long-cold case takes Cameron to San Francisco. Instead of a fat paycheck, she finds her mark with a bullet hole in his forehead, a cop walking through the door behind her, and a call from Nate that says she's being set up. Cameron needs to find her brother, but she's not the only one looking. When she teams up with a detective to follow the trail Nate left behind, they are hunted by a team of mercenaries that seem to second-guess their every move.
The answers lie in the surveillance system Nate built it can spy on anyone, anywhere, and people will do more than just kill to get hold of it. Caught up in the struggle to gain control of this new technology, Cameron knows that her only way out is to destroy the system. With a government agency on one side and private military on the other, taking it out is going to be one hell of a fight. But fighting is in Cameron's nature, as deep as her bones. And she knows one thing for certain - this one is going to get bloody.
Born in Scotland, Andrew worked as a research scientist for almost a decade, on projects including DNA synthesis, forensics, and drug development. He now works as a teacher and lives in Stockholm. His short fiction has featured in several anthologies published by Fox Spirit books and has featured on Escape Artist's Pseudopod podcast.
