The seventh witch

Paola Zannoner

A journey through time and a race against time recounted in a novel with strong contemporary contents, intertwined with magic and love, with plunges into the past and with a big push towards the future.

The first witch was burned alive in 1333 The second was poisoned in 1498 The third was shipwrecked in 1580 The fourth disappeared in 1666 The fifth was guillotined in 1794 The sixth was deported in 1942 The seventh witch, the most powerful, has only one destiny: to save them all! - Have you not understood? - The woman smiled benevolently. - Recall what you have seen before, in the great fire of the cave. - The war, death ... - Meg was almost choking, then, suddenly, came the vision: - It was me, as in a mirror, in many mirrors. - It’s you: how many times the mirror reflects you? Go on counting! Meg hesitated for a moment: the pupils widened and she felt as if she had been split and multiplied once, twice, three times. She saw her face appear and disappear, as in a fade game, and she counted. She said, in a whisper: - Six. - Yes, six times. The vision disappeared, and Meg blinked, then the silver haired woman came into focus again. She was staring at her: - You’re the seventh. - She paused so that Meg could understand well: - The seventh witch.

Meg is fifteen years old, and does not have the slightest clue of being a witch. Until one night an imposing white bear saves her from a wolf. The bear is actually a sorceress who entrusts her with a very difficult task: she will have to travel back in time and save her six witch ancestors from an evil sorcerer who is hunting them down. Meg will do her best to succeed: will she be able to save her ancestors from their tragic destiny and reunite the power of the seven witches?
