THE RIM OF MORNING: TWO TALES OF HORROR

William Sloane

Considered one of the 100 Best Fantasy/Horror Novels
Novelist and historian William Milligan Sloane (1850-1928) has been compared to genre-bending icons such as Philip K. Dick, though he is set apart by his elegant prose and his sophisticated sense of the terrifying. Widely considered a lost masterpiece by critics and fans alike, TO WALK THE NIGHT is the story of the widow of a mathematician killed by what appears to have been spontaneous combustion—but about whom something is subtly, and profoundly, wrong. The novel is presented in a double volume with THE EDGE OF RUNNING WATER. These were Sloane's only two novels, first published in the 1930s.
