Introducing critical media literacy as a collection of skills, The Media and Me helps young people form a multidimensional understanding of what they read, watch, and hear, addressing their own experiences and offering real-life examples to show how media literacy is directly relevant to them.
From storytelling and censorship, to journalism, consumerism, and digital
gatekeeping, The Media and Me presents freedom of expression and other
human rights through the lens of critical media literacy, while encouraging
readers to reflect on their own identities and to participate in constructive
dialogue and civic action.
