A visual marvel... [it recalls] picture-book classics from the early twentieth century, but the neon palette and whimsical humor place it solidly in the modern era.

Darling... perfect for the grandchildren.

Cronin’s silkscreenlike images are elegant as can be, resulting in a rich and suggestive excursion into a quietly unconventional world.

In this stylish puzzler by B.B. Cronin.. it’s almost thrilling when the vibrant colors unite in a final fireside scene, in this superior seek-and-find for all ages.

P]acked with vivid illustrations and enchanting experience for old and young together.

Make[s] storytime feel a lot like playtime (and that goes for grown-ups too).

This dazzling and delightful ‘seek and find’ book harkens to Maira Kalman’s Max series with its whimsical drawings and unpredictable color combinations. ‘The Lost House’ could be an adventurous spread from an architecture magazine…. Each page is as beautiful and intriguing as the next. … The book’s finale takes place in a texture-filled, pattern-splattered, eye-popping ‘snuggery’ where I would like to live.

If you know a little book lover who enjoys curling up in their bed or on the couch and reading a good story, you should think about adding this one to their home library. Filled with delightful drawings that are visually engaging and inspiring, this bedtime treat, written and artfully illustrated by B.B. Cronin, will take your tot on an imaginary treasure hunt through Grandad’s collections to find all they need before they are able to leave the house. This seek-and-find activity book will be a pleasure to read night after night for both kids and adults.

[A]n eye-popping take on I Spy.

It has the goods: highly-detailed illustrations (that manage to come off as charming) with a bold color palette and retro vibe.

Expressive... playfully intricate.
