When The Snap hits, everyone can hear what everyone else is thinking. In the chaos that erupts, Sydney teenager Danby finds she has a chance against the violence exploding around her because her thoughts remain private. She sets off for her mother's safe, remote Blue Mountains retreat one hundred kilometres away and confronts new, unknown enemies while caring for her helpless younger brother Evan.
