The Keeper of Souls - 1. The Path

Maya, a young aspiring anthropologist, can communicate with the souls of the dead and help them enter the afterlife. While helping a lost soul, she crosses through a mysterious painting and finds herself light years away from Earth. Almost immediately after this, she ends up in the midst of interplanetary conflicts and accepts to be used in order to prevent lost souls from being exploited. But isn’t she taking the risk of losing her path among those conflicts? Will she not be playing right into the hands of the despots craving power?

Alexis Demey is a researcher in biological anthropology: more specifically she studies Man and our closest parents as well as the notion of cooperation in the context of war. After a first specialization in forensics, she pursues her PhD in the United States while lecturing degree students.
