THE FOOD ALLERGY MAMA'S EASY, FAST FAMILY MEALS
Dairy, Egg, and Nut Free Recipes for Every Day
Cookbook author, food allergy advocate, and blogger Kelly Rudnicki is the busy mother of five young children, two of whom have severefood allergies. When her sons were diagnosed, she had to figure out how to get three healthy meals on the table a day that didn’t include dairy, eggs, or nuts – and that her kids would still actually eat. Families dealing with food allergies won’t need to suffer through another bland and complicated recipe again thanks to Kelly’s family-friendly recipes.
Kelly firmly believes that allergen-free meals should not be devoid of taste and purposely tests her recipes on friends and neighbors who don’t have food allergies in order to make sure they taste “normal,” like their non-allergenic versions. Families want easy, delicious and healthy meals that will bring everyone back to the dinner table, whether they have food allergies or not. The Food Allergy Mama’s Easy, Fast Family Meals will be loaded with advice and make-ahead tips, as well as easy-to-find and inexpensive ingredient substitutions. Kelly tries to stick to natural solutions whenever possible, like using tofu, applesauce, or even water for eggs in baking recipes. The book will be an invaluable resource for families who want delicious meals that are simple to make every day of the week. The book will also include helpful menu ideas that are perfect for holiday celebrations. The Food Allergy Mama’s Easy, Fast Family Meals will become the “must have” food allergy cookbook for every family that struggles with a special diet. Kelly Rudnicki is the author of The Food Allergy Mama’s Baking Book and Vegan Baking Classics, a vegan version of her first baking book. Kelly started the popular blog “The Food Allergy Mama” and is also a blogger for Martha Stewart’s Whole Living website and a “Tried and Tested” blogger for Cooking Light. Kelly is a Parent Ambassador for the non-profit Healthy Child Health World and wrote the food allergy guidelines for the Chicago Public Schools Chef in a Classroom project, an initiative through Michelle Obama’s Go for the Gold campaign and Health Schools campaign. Kelly is frequently asked to do events and interview on behalf of food allergy awareness and healthy family eating, and was most recently an on-air contributor for the Chicago-based talk show “Windy City Live” and appeared at the FAAN Food Allergy Conference to speak on behalf of the foodallergy community. Kelly is also a former journalist, news producer and public relations specialist who is now a stay-at-home mom who recently relocated with her five kids and husband to Southern California from the Chicago area.
