Eddie Brown is a con artist turned street-smart lawyer. Once a successful defence attorney, he is now trying to get his life back on track after a traumatic event in his past which has cost him his marriage and his daughter. But things suddenly get a lot worse for Eddie when he is “hired” to defend the head of the Russian mob in New York. Only this case is very different. Forced to wear an explosive device hidden on his body, Eddie has 48 hours in which to get the chief witness onto the stand and kill him. He has evidence which will see the Russian spend the rest of his life behind bars. Calling on all his old legal skills as well as contacts from his bad old days, Eddie faces a race against time to save not only himself but also his family.

Steve Cavanagh has a varied legal background, having worked as an investigator for a large Belfast law firm as well as a solicitor. This is his first novel.
