Mia Stone's life in the sleepy town of Crownsville was just like any other teenager's going to school, working a part-time job until the arrival of a mysterious new student, Sol. And the sudden disappearance of her little brother Jay.

Soon it's clear to Mia that Sol has a secret: he knows who or what took Jay, and it's not human. Neither is he, for that matter.
