The Call of the Wilderness

A yearning to break out of the rat race and to live in harmony with the rhythm of nature led Mario and Ramona Goldstein to set out for the untouched wilderness of Canada and Alaska. On their journey, they met hermits and downshifters who taught them a lot about life in the wilderness, saw whales in Newfoundland, bears in Ontario and wolves in the Rocky Mountains. The crowning achievement of their adventure was building a raft on which they travelled 3,000 km down the Yukon river, finally reaching the Bering Sea.
