THE BURNING LAND

Fantasy-Roman. An expedition is sent into the uncharted sacred desert known as the Burning Land, to determine the fate of a band of religious outlaws. There is also a prophecy saying when the Next Messenger, a Messianic Figure, emerges from the desert, the great god Arata will awaken from his sleep. Is the young priest Gyalo who leads the expedition into the Burning Land, the Next Messenger himself...? Victoria Strauss is a Medievalist.
