This fantastic tale is the author's debut picture book, written for the daughter she and her partner adopted in Vietnam.
AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Véronique Béliveau is a singer and actress whose talent and versatility throughout a career spanning more than a quarter of a century have made her a veritable icon in Quebec. As well as treading the boards in theatres across Quebec, she has made records in French and English as well as hosting her own TV show in English Canada. She has now turned her talents to writing stories for young children. Thao in the Forest of Fireflies was inspired by her Vietnam-born daughter.
Sabrina Gendron was born with a pencil in her hand. When she was a little girl, she dreamed of drawing cartoons. That dream came true when she completed her art studies and 2D/3D animation training. Sabrina has devoted the last several years to illustration, her very first passion. She has a unique talent for creating
atmosphere and characters children and adults love.
