Sunker’s Deep is the long-awaited sequel to Ice Breaker and it doesn’t disappoint. The adventure escalates from one dangerous situation to another, the tension is a ruination to good fingernails, and the characters are just as intriguing as in the previous book. How wonderful that the story doesn’t end here.

Lian Tanner is a master storyteller. She weaves complex, high action tales that are easy to read and always fast-moving. Her fantasy worlds are so detailed, they are completely believable. Like all of Lian Tanner’s books, I just couldn’t put Sunker’s Deep down.

This is an exciting, complex, multi-stranded series which explores different groups of survivors, each with their own internal agendas, misunderstandings and problems... As well as adults there is a large cast of children of different ages who are key protagonists... [who] display courage, skill, ingenuity and support for each other as the action-packed plot progresses.
