SPRING FORWARDS
When Joe meets an old Clockmaker, he is plunged into a world of adventure.
As he helps the Clockmaker change the clocks forwards for spring, he is thrust into a magical hour. The Clockmaker is kidnapped, the clock which controls the hour is stolen and the magic hour is stopped - and Joe must work out a plan to save them. The magic hour he enters is full of moving statues, whose job it is to guard the City of London. When they realise that the clock has been stolen, and the magic hour has been suspended, the statues band together to try to defeat the mysterious army of Stillnesses who have begun to attack the city, under the control of a Man who seeks to topple the Monument, which still contains the Great Fire of London. Joe joins forces with two stone house lions and with them attempts to rescue the Clock and Felix Hardwicke, the Clockmaker. Meeting kings, queens, philosophers, dragons, prime ministers and chimeras on the way, Joe becomes the statue army's key weapon when he infiltrates the Stillness headquarters. With the help of a ragtag company of actors, WW2 spies, soldiers and creatures, Joe has to summon up every drop of courage he has ever possessed, to vanquish the Man and save the City.
