She is passionate about telling emotionally resonant dark stories that feature bisexual representation, messy main characters, and cathartic third acts. Her debut YA novel, THIS RAGING SEA, is set to publish in September 2025 with Holiday House, and her debut adult novel, A SHARED HAUNTING, will release Summer 2026 from Dutton. Her short fiction has been featured in Voyage YA, Crow & Cross Keys, and Heartbeat. In addition to writing fiction, De is a journalist specializing in pop culture, mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, and parenthood. Currently, she works at Parents as an evergreen editor.
