What woman hasn't read a romantic book or watched a love story on the screen and wished her life could be more like fiction? Patience Bloom was that girl, time and time again. As a teenager, she fell in love with Harlequin romances and imagined her love life would turn out just like the heroines on the page. Even when none of it came true, she kept reading books and watching movies that fed her dreams. Years later, she moved to New York City and found her dream job, editing romances for Harlequin itself. She became an expert when it came to fictional love stories, editing amazing books and learning everything she could about the romance buisness. Her dating life, however, remained pathetic and uninspiring and she began to give up on love.
Then one day, a real-life chance at romance (with her high school crush!!!) made her wonder if what she'd been writing, and editing, all these years might actually be true. Was it worth the risk? Could love and romance really conquer all?
