RIPPER

Stefan Petrucha

The Alienist meets Young Sherlock Holmes (with a touch Dexter).
What if Jack the Ripper was never caught in England because he came to New York, where his criminal genius took him to the top of the world's best-known detective agency, The Pinkertons? What if he learned that his only son was also in New York, a ward of the state in need of a father to guide him? And what if that son, desperate for a father-figure, learned at his father's side all of the tricks of the trade until making the gruesome discovery that his father is the most wanted killer in the world?

This is the premise of RIPPER, a sharp as nails mystery thriller complete with action, a then-Police-Commissioner Teddy Roosevelt, a trio of likable kids, and the added fun of steampunk gadgets.

A fan of comic books, science fiction and horror since learning to read, Stefan Petrucha developed a love for all sorts of literary work in high school and college, eventually learning that the very best fiction always brings you back to reality, so, really, there's no way out. At times he has been a tech writer, an educational writer, a public relations writer and an editor for trade journals, but fiction has always been his passion. He has written several graphic novels for the X-Files, Tales from the Crypt and Nancy Drew series, and has also published numerous young adult novels in the science fiction and horror genres, including Paranormal State, a companion book to the hit A&E television show of the same name. Stefan lives in western Massachusetts with his wife and their daughters.
