PROCESS OF ELIMINATION

Arthur T. Bradley

PROCESS OF ELIMINATION is a unique thriller: fast-paced, remarkably smart, a high-octane mix of violence and sex. This is a debut novel to remember and terrific reading for fans of the "Rain" books by Barry Eisler, or John Donohue's "Sensei/Deshi" books, or Eric Van Lustbader's Ninja. The martial arts thriller tradition demands tons of action and you get it here, but Bradley has gone a step beyond to craft an intelligent mainstream story without sacrificing what this genre demands — PROCESS OF ELIMINATIONdoesn't disappoint on any level!
When a rich attorney recruits his estranged brother to help find a missing lover they discover a gruesome clue and are confronted by a team of aggressive government operatives. The girl's disappearance is clearly more complicated than a simple case of a lover scorned. The two uncover a ruthless plot by a powerful international organization with a nefarious agenda: in order to tip the balance of global power, presidential candidates are being murdered — the unwitting targets of a world-class sharpshooter. As bodies begin to pile up, our heroes — a greedy corporate attorney, his street-smart private investigator brother who studied Judo in Japan and lives to right the world's wrongs, and a super-sexy self-proclaimed conspiracy theorist -- race to piece together an intricate puzzle of murder, deception and betrayal in order to uncover the assassin's identity before he can claim another victim. As the bodies pile up, they realize that the killer may be closer than they could ever have imagined. Author Arthur Bradley has for many years held a fascination for all things Japanese. Surely, this stems from his father who often took him to see the great Toshiro Mifune black-and-white samurai movies. It led to his lifelong study of the martial arts (karate, aikido, and judo). Bradely has been fortunate to travel to Japan many times and is filled with awe and respect for Japan's remarkable culture — this comes through loud and clear in PROCESS OF ELIMINATION. He has worked to create a synergistic East-West story, one that serves as a mainstream thriller as well as introduces the reader to the distinct world of the Japanese. His motivation for writing this novel was first and foremost to tell a story that has danced around in hishead for many years. It involves characters that live at very distinct ends of the spectrum, some that worship wealth, others that value honor. It has heroes and villains, and some characters half-way between. But at the end of the day, it is a story about love, redemption, and family. Bradley and his brilliant debut thriller would be an asset to any list! Dr. Arthur T.
