The professional coming-of-age memoir of Reggie Love, walk-on team captain to Coach Krzyzewski's Duke basketball team and "Body Man" for first Senator Obama and then President Obama, and the lessons of persistence, passion, and patience learned from both men.

Reggie Love was the special assistant and personal aide to President Barack Obama from 2009-2011. Before that, he graduated from Duke University where he played forward for the Duke Blue Devils basketball team and led the team to the NCAA national championship in 2001.

While Coach Krzyzewski taught Reggie Love that sports build character, it was President Obama who taught Love that the sport of politics can define your character: who you are, what you believe in, and what it takes to make a difference.

Every path to adulthood is strewn with missteps, tough lessons, and epiphanies. Only Love?s, however, went through the White House by way of Duke University?s Cameron Stadium.

POWER FORWARD tells the story of the seven years Love worked as a personal assistant to first Senator Obama, than candidate Obama, and eventually President Obama, and it is a professional coming of age story like no other.
