PHILOMENA'S NEW GLASSES
Philomena needs new glasses. Her sister Audrey wants them, too. And if Philomena and Audrey have them, shouldn't their sister Nora Jane also have them?
In this utterly amusing tale of sisterhood, glasses, purses, and dresses, these girls soon make an important discovery. Not everyoneneeds the same things!
Philomena is a guinea pig. So are her sisters, Audrey and Nora Jane. Life is good. Until Philomena realizes she could see better with a pair of glasses. So Audrey and Nora Jane get them, too. Soon Philomena realizes she needs something to keep her glasses in, so she gets a handbag.
So Audrey and Nora Jane get handbags, too. Soon Philomena realizes that her handbag would look a lot better with a dress, so she get a nice one. So Audrey and Nora Jane get dresses, too. Now all three guinea pig sisters are wearing glasses, handbags, and dresses! Sound ridiculous? Well, they finally realize that, too. Here is a very silly story that illustrates what happens when you want more than you really need. For all those FB users that can't pass up the cute/silly pet videos!
A silly story with a smart message: don't get what you don't need!
Introduces children to why people (and a guinea pig or two...) wear glasses.
Adorable and hysterical photo illustrations of guinea pigs. No pigs were harmed!
Short, easy-to-read text just right for story and bedtime!
Philomena is a character to capture animal-loving hearts.
By day, Brenna is an award-winning journalist. A longtime editor for The Washington Post, she is currently the editor of National Geographic Explorer magazine. By night, Brenna stays up late making odd things from socks and eating entirely too many Junior Mints. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and two young sons.
