PEANUT BUTTER & CUPCAKE
A story about fun, food and friendship starring Peanut Butter before he met Jelly.
What is a little peanut-butter-covered slice of bread to do when he moves to a new town? His mom suggests he go out to find some new friends. So he does.
Peanut Butter meets Ham- burger, who’s too busy walking his (hot) dogs, Cupcake, who’s building a sprinkle castle, Egg, who cracks up, French Fries, who’s running late and needs to catch-up (get it?), and Soup, who spells his answer: N-O. Poor Peanut But- ter is feeling at his lowest when another little slice of bread comes walking over: Jelly. And the two of them have so much fun together that Hamburger, Cupcake, Egg, French Fries and Soup decide they want to play, too.
In a story that pairs silly kid humor with poi- gnancy, Terry Border makes a triumphant en- trance into the kids’ book world. Complete with a rhyming refrain, this is sure to be a fa- vorite family read-aloud.
Terry Border is the photography mastermind behind BentObjects.com, a blog that led to the creation of three books, two calendars, various greeting cards and many, many jigsaw puzzles. His Bent Objects have also been featured in magazines all over the world. Terry Border lives with his wife and daughter in Indianapolis, Indiana.
