OWL KNOW HOW
Owl Know How is about solving problems, big problems that can only be solved by owls. Enter the magical world of Cloud Town and meet Cornelia Rabbit and her best friend Orvi.
Cornelia loves owls, more than anything else. She makes owls that can fly on their own. When branches begin to pop through the clouds, Cornelia needs help from their friends they save the town from falling into the treetops by work-ing together and using her “owl know how.”
Created by textile artist Cat Rabbit and award-winning animator Isobel Knowles, everything was made out of felt, cardboard and various other recycled materials. These two local Australian artists are award win-ning, internationally recognized and command their own cult following in the indie craft and art scene.
Isobel Knowles is an award-winning Melbourne-based animator whose work spans stop-motion animation films, interactive installa-tions, collaborative performance, and children’s television. Her work has won awards at several festivals including Sundance, Cannes and the Chicago International Film Festival amongst others. She has also made animations for Yo Gabba Gabba, Life for Beginners and Planet of the Primes.
Cat Rabbit is a textile-based artist working in soft sculpture. Her plush works incorporate traditional domestic crafting techniques such as em-broidery, knitting and various needlecrafts to create three dimensional soft sculpture figures from her illustrated characters.
