Ani Avakian is the Bay Area's least well-known wedding planner. She's got a paltry roster of weddings, a crushing load of secret debt
from a couple who scammed her, and is not even close to being over her ex-girlfriend Kami who dumped her two years ago. Now, she's headed to meet a new potentially luxurious wedding client who wants to have her queer wedding at a new Armenian winery in Napa, which could be Ani's only chance to get out of debt and put her name on the map.
When she arrives at the venue, she meets the rather sexy owner of the winery, Raffi Garabedian, infamous Armenian playboy slash
the Bay Area's most eligible Armenian bachelor. Unfortunately, despite his dashing looks, the two instantly clash. Raffi is a snob,
and Ani isn't afraid to let him know it.
When the couple arrives, Ani meets the bride she's been in contact with, an indie movie actress. Then, the second bride steps out of the car. Ani's ex. Kami.
But Ani needs this job. And little does she know, Kami is also Raffi's ex, and that Raffi has reasons of his own for needing this wedding to not just go smoothly, but go big. Ani and Raffi decide to set aside their differences and their emotions about planning an ex's wedding and work together to create the wedding of their ex's dreams.
Along the way, Ani discovers that Raffi is entirely different from the womanizer she'd built up in her head. He's vulnerable, thoughtful, and sweet. And Raffi realizes that for the first time since dating Kami, he's interested in dating someone again. He wants to know Ani and be there for her in every way.
But Ani is terrified that Raffi is going to simply use her and leave her, while Raffi can hardly keep up with his growing feelings. Then
overnight, the indie actress bride turns into an A-lister, bringing paparazzi and sensational news to the forefront of the wedding,
especially as things keep going wrong. Ani and Raffi will have to pull off the wedding of the year while facing obstacle after obstacle,
including their own undeniable feelings.
