A dual-timeline novel caught between the violence of adolescence and the urgency of revenge

On the surface, Olivia's return from an exile of sorts to attend her 20-year high school reunion is all about reconnecting with old friends. But as painful memories resurface for her, the reunion is just a pretext for her to finally settle scores and put her coolly calculated plan to exact revenge into execution. Operation Club Sandwich is a go.

The main character is a trans woman, but trans identity isn't the core subject of the novel: it is first and foremost a story of revenge.

Hugo Meunier earned a degree in literature and has made a name for himself in immersion journalism. He has worked for several large media outlets in Quebec and is currently a reporter for URBANIA. After writing two nonfiction books published by Lux, Walmart – Journal d'un associé (Walmart – An employee's journal) and Infiltrer Hugo Meunier – Enquête sur la vie des vedettes québécoises (Infiltrating Hugo Meunier – Looking into the Lives of Quebec Stars), Hugo Meunier's debut novel, Le Patron (The Boss), was published by Stanké in the fall of 2019. Olivia Vendetta is his second novel.
