THE WHISPERING FOG
In this debut, Snow White and Rose Red meets the modern world after sisters Neve and Rose's lives are upended. Perfect for fans of Jodi Lynn Anderson and Katherine Arden.
For twelve-year-old Neve, it's always been she and her older sister against the world, their lives entwined just like sisters in a fairy tale. Not even being moved to the piney woods of South Carolina can change what they are to each otheruntil a mysterious fog sent by a swamp-dwelling witch steals Rose. It will be up to Neve to save her sister. Otherwise, the sisters will be separated forever.
Landra Jennings writes about deeply felt emotions, siblings, and magical things. Her works are heavily influenced by the fairy tales she pored over as a child (okay, as an adult too) and her Southern roots (she's a Georgia native).
She had a business career she loved but these days focuses her time on community causes she cares about and, of course, her writing. She has more degrees than she needs, the one she's using most right now is an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University.
She currently lives in South Carolina with her husband and two boys, and also has a special place in her heart for Chicago, where her kids were born.
