NECROPOLIS

Jake Wyatt

The first in a new limited-monthly fantasy comic series—published first as comic books, col- lected every six issues into a graphic novel—that marries the rich world-building of Saga and the dark, realpolitik fantasy of A Game of Thrones.
The story follows The Third Sword, a skilled knight with a magical sword, who has been framed for the kidnapping of her lover and must enter a cursed city to both save him and clear her name. The world of Necropolis is uniquely apocalyptic, built upon the corpse of a great civilization ruled by magic and exhausted by seemingly endless war; a society that slipped from a golden age of prosperity back into darker times. And in the middle of it all, the Necropolis, a silent sprawling city of the dead that holds the secrets of a forgotten age. The beginning of the first chapter of Necropolis has already been published through the author’s website with thousands logging on every week to see what happens. Jake Wyatt has been writing and drawing for film, televi- sion, and sometimes comics (such as The Indestructible Hulk) for about six years. He has done a few short comics for anthologies (such as Spera); written, directed, or ani- mated a few shorts for festivals/advertising, and collabo- rated on a bunch of commercial long-form work for Nick- elodeon, Cartoon Network, Fox, Overbrook, and Image Comics. This will be Jake’s first solo long-form work.
