A man is killed crossing the road in Baker Street, apparently heading for Sherlock Holmes' front door. Flotsam is on hand to hear the man's whispered last words: I have seen a dead man walking. Meanwhile an ancient text – recently discovered in the Middle East – is missing, and Sherlock Holmes is tasked with tracking it down. The text is rumoured to be the lost recollections of Lazarus himself, the man raised by Jesus from the dead, and the leaders of the world's great religions are panicking.
