MORE THAN ENOUGH

Elaine Welteroth

Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say)

Past editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue and judge on the new Project Runway Elaine Welteroth looks back on the lessons learned and the ceilings she shattered to become the first African American in 2012 to hold the post of beauty and health director at a Conde Nast Publication, and then the youngest person ever appointed editor-in-chief at Teen Vogue in 2017.
In this riveting and timely memoir, the groundbreaking journalist unpacks lessons on race, identity, and success through her own journey, from navigating her way as the unstoppable child of a unlikely interracial marriage in small-town California to finding herself on the frontlines of a modern movement for the next generation of change makers. Moving beyond the headlines and highlight reels, she shares the profound lessons and struggles of being a barrier-breaker across so many intersections.

Part manifesto, part memoir, this book doesn't stop at Elaine's life - it's a mission statement meant to inspire all the ambitious, young people who reach out to her on Instagram and Twitter (more than 300,000 followers combined) to take a stand, to fight for yourself and what you deserve. As a young boss and the only black woman in the room, she's had enough of the world telling her and all other women that they're not enough. No matter where we are in our personal and professional lives, Elaine champions the right to come into your own - on your own terms.
