MAYBE TONIGHT?
An innovative approach to the glamorous yet cutthroat world of The Clique and Pretty Little Liars, MAYBE TONIGHT invites the reader to participate in the high stakes social scene of Kings Academy, an elite boarding school in New Hampshire where fitting in may require selling one's soul.
The first book in an initial four book series, Freshman Year opens as the reader is getting ready for the most infamous and exciting party of the year Midwinter's Night Dream, set in the frosty woods just off campus with her roommates and best friends Annabel Snow, Spider Harris, and Libby Monroe. Choices unfold quickly and the reader must decide which risks to take in pursuit of social status, adventure, success, and love.
What isn't mentioned in the above is that "you" (the reader) are the protagonist in the novel. And throughout the novel you're asked to make decisions in a 'choose your adventure style' novel that determines the plot twists and narrative arch.
Bridie Clark graduated from Kingswood-Oxford, a private school in Connecticut, and Harvard College, where she was an editor of The Harvard Crimson. She has since worked as a book and magazine editor, and written for The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and New York magazine. Her debut novel, Because She Can (Grand Central; February 2007), was published in nineteen countries and reviewed and featured in dozens of magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Vanity Fair, Glamour UK, and USA Today. Her second novel, The Overnight Socialite (Weinstein Books; December 2009) was hailed as "a distinguished froth of rich social satire and romance" by Vogue and "quite enchanting" by Graydon Carter, and optioned by the Weinstein Company for television and film. In 2011, she founded Clover Literary, a book development company that originates ideas for non-fiction and fiction works and then supports writers in bringing these ideas to life. Bridie lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with her husband and two children.
