Shane Delia's first cookbook comprises a personal collection of traditional and modern recipes celebrating his Maltese heritage.

Designed to be served at a shared table, the recipes are divided into five chapters: Mezze; Small plates; Large plates; Sides; and Sweets. Throughout the book, Shane has included memories and stories that show the reader just how much these treasured recipes mean to him and his family, and have done for generations. Shane Delia is the acclaimed chef and owner of Maha Bar and Grill in Melbourne. Maha was named after his Lebanese wife, and fuses Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. His second restaurant, St Katherine's, is due to open in early 2011. Shane is confident, charismatic and passionate about everything he does: his menu is wholly inspired by his ethnic heritage and the diversity that comes from a multicultural family.
