Elliot is a little polka-dotted elephant learning to find his way in the big city.

Elliot is a very small elephant living in a very big city. It’s sometimes tough to get noticed, especially when he tries to order cupcakes in a very busy bakery. Elliot discovers that paying attention to other small things and making unexpected friends—like Mouse—can make wonderful dreams come true. Mike Curato is a designer and illustrator who, like Elliot the Elephant, loves cupcakes. He won the Portfolio Award from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in 2012. This is his debut book project, the first of a three-book series.
