Gatti also reveals the scandals at home that have contributed to making Italy the springboard for infection in Europe, including delays and cancellations of supplies of masks and lung ventilators, errors in lockdowns and too many unwise decisions that have disarmed the courageous commitment of the many health workers at the front. Fabrizio Gatti is the author of Bilal (2007), a diary of four years as an infiltrator along the Sahara routes among traffickers and migrants travelling from Africa to Europe, and Gli anni della peste (2013), the story of the first collaborator of justice betrayed by the State. He has also published two children's books. Since 2004, he has worked as a correspondent for the weekly magazine L'Espresso. He has also written for "il Giornale" directed by Indro Montanelli and for "Corriere della Sera". His investigations have been translated all over the world and have won numerous international awards.
