L'INFINITO ERRORE

Fabrizio Gatti

La storia segreta di una pandemia che si doveva evitare

An investigation into the causes of the pandemic, based on a year of researching more than 10,000 documents and testimonies. This is a story that attaches human faces to the different stages of the pandemic by one of Italy's leading investigative journalists.
The book shows how political weakness, economic interests and the strategic strength of China have paved the way for the spread of this virus. For the first time, a book details the chain of errors committed by scientists and governments whose duty it was to prevent and stop the transmission of the infection Gatti offers a version that official sources have never yet told us. Thanks to previously unpublished testimonies and information this investigation traces the entire journey made by the coronavirus: from the bat-infested caves to the Chinese laboratories where the new pathogens were studied in collaboration with American, Australian and French research centres, to our cities, our hospitals, our lives and our victims. This book irrefutably highlights the errors and responsibilities that led to the new Chernobyl: with a meticulous reconstruction, Gatti reveals secret military experiments, the insufficient safety standards of many regime laboratories, the lies of the WHO about the links between this virus and previous SARS epidemics. Gatti also reveals the scandals at home that have contributed to making Italy the springboard for infection in Europe, including delays and cancellations of supplies of masks and lung ventilators, errors in lockdowns and too many unwise decisions that have disarmed the courageous commitment of the many health workers at the front. Fabrizio Gatti is the author of Bilal (2007), a diary of four years as an infiltrator along the Sahara routes among traffickers and migrants travelling from Africa to Europe, and Gli anni della peste (2013), the story of the first collaborator of justice betrayed by the State. He has also published two children's books. Since 2004, he has worked as a correspondent for the weekly magazine L'Espresso. He has also written for "il Giornale" directed by Indro Montanelli and for "Corriere della Sera". His investigations have been translated all over the world and have won numerous international awards.
