A little parrot goes on a big adventure to discover that there's nothing quite like a gentle kiss!

Paolo the Pacific Parrotlet is young Camille's tiny pet parrot. He loves Camille, and Camille loves him too. But one day when Camille is at school, Paolo sees an open door and makes the most of the opportunity to spread his wings. As he flies off on a great adventure of discovery, he enjoys a taste of freedom but also sees some scary things that send shivers down his feathers! It's a great adventure that ends with a smile for Camille and her beloved pet parrot.

AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR

Lucie Papineau is an author, journalist, radio presenter and publisher who has devoted more than 20 years of her life to children's literature. Her books have earned and been nominated for an array of literary awards, including the Mr. Christie's Book Award. Children and teachers love her books, many of which have been translated into several other languages.

Lucie Crovatto was born in Quebec City, where she still lives today and illustrates books and textile collections for children. The Museum Guard was her first book with Les Éditions de la Bagnole.
