THE ERASER
If you had the power, what would you make disappear from your life?
Emile is a sixth grader, passionate about science-fiction films. A series of coincidences leads him to believe that he is in possession of a magical eraser. Just write a word (correctly spelled!) on a sheet of paper, then erase it and whatever or whoever will disappear from your life.
First Emile's fish dinner disappears straight from the frying pan, then an English homework assignment, then the English teacher himself. The next targets are the three bullies who terrorize everyone at school.
But the more Emile erases from his life, the more his troubles pile up, at home, at school, and with his two best friends. The final straw is when Emile decides to make his dad's new girlfriend Corina go away, but he only manages to erase half of her name...and she ends up in a coma. How will Emile manage to turn things around?
Emile's story explores themes of divorce, friendship and more with a healthy dose of humor and a touch of magic.
CYRIL GUINET is a journalist with the celebrated GEO magazine, for whom he explores the world. Cyril is an established author for adults, having published several books with Michel Lafon and First.
