The sexuality of aging adults is still taboo. There are many who cannot imagine that their parents or grandparents “do it.” Yet, and this is what the author wants to show, many of our seniors experience satisfying and varied sex in relationship styles that suit them. Patrick Doucet also explores the sexual difficulties that may go along with aging: marital, physical, and psychological concerns that can arise for women as well as for men, and he discusses the themes of love and sexuality after mourning and illness, showing that both can be revived, at any age.

Patrick Doucet is a sexologist by training and has been teaching psychology at Marie-Victorin college for nearly thirty years.
