they grow older gracefully

Nearly thirty years after having left the book club at the Rosemère municipal library, eight sixtyish women find each other again on Facebook and decide to revive the club. At their reunion, they choose to focus on books about positive psychology. The books act as spark plugs for triggering conversations and reflections about their lives, their accomplishments, their failures, their desires, and especially for bringing about changes in their lives. So much so that in the last chapter, after analyzing fifteen books, they wind up moving into a cooperative building, so as to help each other, keep each other company, and grow older in the best possible way.

A screenwriting instructor, author, and scriptwriter for over thirty years, Dominique Drouin learned her trade alongside her grandmother, Mia Riddez, co-writing the scripts for Terre humaine and Le Grand Remous with her. Since then, she has written the scripts for a number of TV projects, including Les Poupées russes, Les Grands Procès, Ramdam, and Watatatow. Since 2014, she has written the De mères en filles tetralogy, published by Libre Expression. This was followed by the novels Julie, Hélène, Réjanne, Alicia, Marie-Pier, and Ingrid, complementing the TV series Yamaska.
