LA COSA PIU' INCREDIBILE
Ivan is twelve years old and he lives in the outskirts of Turin; he spends time with his group of friends: Pietro and Paolo, twins who live on the third floor, Melania, his friend since elementary school, and Rudy.
Their Apartments, their games and habits are identical. Ivan has little money and little freedom.
Ivan's family is loving but cumbersome. Ivan’s father believes whatever the TV broadcasts, Ivan’s mother meddles in his own’s business, Ivan’s sister is vegan and she always has homeworks to do whenever she is asked to help with chores.
Ivan’s life is normal, made of schools, Xbox (Xbox perhaps more that homeworks), questions ... and grown-ups who answer “NO”. Ivan thinks their behavior is wrong.
Yet, one day, something amazing happens; it’s indeed a most incredible thing, and it happens just when it seems nothing could ever change….
LA COSA PIU’ INCREDIBLE is a fable, a noir, a novel told from the direct voice of a boy who looks at the weird world of grown ups.
Christian Frascella was born in 1973 in Turin and lives in Rome. He published Mia sorella è una Foca Monaca (Fazi, 2009); Sette Piccoli Sospetti (Fazi, 2010); La Sfuriata di Bet (Einaudi, 2011); Il Panico Quotidiano (Einaudi, 2013).
