KANT FÜR DIE HAND

Hanno Depner

Die "Kritik der reinen Vernunft" zum Basteln & Begreifen

Philosophy is dull? Kant is difficult? Hanno Depner’s DIY assembly kit tells a different story. It offers a unique and surprising introduction to Kant’s “Critique of Pure Reason”.

All it takes is three hours and some glue. You will produce Kant’s edifice of ideas in three dimensions. While assembling the modeling sheets, you learn about Kant’s philosophy step by step.

What can I know? What shall I do? What may I hope for? These are the questions from the most fundamental work in the history of European ideas. They are more urgent today than ever before. But Kant’s principal work is 800 pages long, full of tortuous phrases and outdated language. With KANT BY HAND you can build the drawers that represent Kant’s categories and watch “The Idea of God” grow out of a box. This is a playful way of understanding the beauty of Kantian philosophy.

KANT IN HAND is three-dimensional philosophy for beginners and experienced students who somehow got lost in Kant. It celebrates the elegance of philosophy and the playfulness of our search for philosophical truth.
