Immersing yourself in the forests.

Miki Sakamoto

How walking in the forest can make you relaxed and happy

As a Japanese woman living in Bavaria, Miki Sakamoto misses the cherry blossoms. Only when she goes into the forest does she feel completely calm. She breathes in the healing aromas and absorbs impressions with all her senses.

Over the decades, Miki Sakamoto has developed her special art of forest walking. She combines the teachings of Shinrin-yoku (»forest bathing«) with Buddhism and minute observations of nature writing. In invigorating and poetic descriptions, she instructs us how to lead a life in tune with nature, thereby boosting our mental and physical health.
