Antonio and Rosaria will sweep you away with their gaze, their vision, thei love. A story within History to surrender to with gratitude.

War, love, secrets and betrayals: Barbàra follows his characters with rhythm and mastery, drawing an overwhelming epic that will make it difficult to wait for the sequel.

Finally a great historical novel! Pure reading pleasure, a whirlwind of vivid characters vibrating through those pages you can't wait to return to... The only problem is: how long will we have to wait for the second part?

I bonded with the protagonists as if they were family. I cried and rejoiced with them, I loved and hated them deeply, because this novel is historical in its setting away yet so alive, contemporary and vibrant that after reading it you just cannot wait for the second part.

I really enjoyed the read, and I discovered many curiosities about greater and smaller historical events. I was especially fascinated by the great loves, both happy and cursed.

The word Malarazza captures the all-Sicilian shade of those who are unfulfilled, as if they belong nowhere and yet, at the same time, feel a very strong connection to their roots.
